Dodie Stevens, born Geraldine Ann Pasquale on February 17, 1946, in Chicago,
Illinois, is an American singer. She began taking singing and dancing lessons at
a young age and recorded her first song, "Merry-Go Merry-Go Round," at the age
of eight under the name Geri Pace. In 1959, Stevens was given the stage name
Dodie Stevens by Carl Burns and recorded "Pink Shoe Laces" for Crystalette
Records. The song was picked up by Dot for national distribution and peaked at
