DJ Tonka
Thomas-René Gerlach, known professionally as DJ Tonka, was born on June 24,
1973, in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. He began his career working with
fellow producer Ian Pooley in groups such as Outrage, Space Cube, and T'N'I,
producing records in techno, progressive house, and breakbeat genres. In 1996,
he started his solo career under the name DJ Tonka, focusing on house music with
influences from synthpop and American garage house. His early releases included
