Sean Spencer, born October 13, 1968, in Baltimore, Maryland, is an American DJ, record producer, and executive who first emerged as a teenage local DJ. In 1983 he co‑founded the hip‑hop group Numarx, which opened for acts such as LL Cool J and Run‑DMC and released "Buss It" in 1984. The group’s later track "Girl You Know It’s True" became a worldwide hit through Milli Vanilli’s version, establishing Spencer’s songwriting credentials.
