Dominican-American producer DJ Kass was born Luis Rosa on August 28, 1987, in
the Dominican Republic. Raised in the Bronx, he was exposed to a wide array of
eclectic musical genres from a very young age, mostly thanks to his father's
influence as a DJ. Embarking on a music journey, by 2013 he had carved a niche
for himself in the Dyckman area of Washington Heights, Manhattan, spinning
tracks in vibrant nightclubs. His single "Tamo Open Yo," released in 2016,
