David Banks, born September 2, 1965 in Brooklyn, New York, is an American DJ,
producer and author known as DJ Disciple who began his career as a gospel DJ
before transitioning to house and UK garage. Banks’ first professional mix
appeared at Studio 54, and his debut single "When the Music Stops" was released
in 1993 on D:vision Records, gaining club traction in Italy. He followed with
