David Aaron Shayman, known professionally as Disco D, was an American record
producer and composer. He began his music career as a teenager, purchasing his
first set of belt-driven turntables in 1995 while attending Pioneer High School.
By the late 1990s, he was performing as a DJ and had released early production
work and a 12-inch single. In 1999, he co-produced the first single for Ghostly
International under the alias Daisha. Shayman moved to Brooklyn in 2002, where
