Disappear Fear, formed in 1987 in Baltimore, Maryland, is an American indie
pop/folk/Americana/world beat band founded by sisters Sonia Rutstein and Cindy
Frank. The duo released their debut album Deep Soul Diver in 1989, after the
release of "Echo My Call" (1988). Disappear Fear self-released their music via
Disappear Records and were later signed to Rounder/Philo Records in 1994. Their
eponymous album was released that same year. Frank stopped performing regularly
with the band in 1996, leading Rutstein to pursue a solo career while continuing
to release albums with Disappear F...
