Eugenio Zambelli, known professionally as Dino, was born on May 3, 1948, in
Verona, Italy. He began his career as a singer with the group I Kings. In 1963,
the band won the second edition of the Festival degli sconosciuti organized by
Teddy Reno at Ariccia. Impressed by Zambelli's voice, Reno signed him to his
record label under the stage name "Dino." Between 1964 and 1968, Dino released
several successful singles including "Te lo leggo negli occhi," becoming a
