Dina El Wedidi, born on October 1, 1987, in Giza, Egypt, is a singer and
composer. She studied Oriental Literature at Cairo University before discovering
her passion for music through the El Warsha Theater Troupe in 2008. El Wedidi
later founded her own music group and participated in the modern operetta
Khalina Nehlam ('Let's Dream'). In 2012, she was selected by Gilberto Gil for
the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative, leading to performances with Gil
at Back2Black during the London 2012 Festival. In 2013, El Wedidi joined the
