Dimples D.
Crystal Smith, known professionally as Dimples D., is an American rapper. Her
debut single, “Sucker D.J.'s (I Will Survive)”, was released in 1983 on Party
Time Records. Produced by Marley Marl, the track served as an answer song to
Run-D.M.C.'s “Sucker M.C.'s (Krush-Groove 1)” and was one of the earliest
hip-hop releases to feature a female MC. Although it did not initially achieve
commercial success, the song was remixed in 1990 by Dutch DJ Ben Liebrand. This
