Didi Kempot
Dionisius Prasetyo, known professionally as Didi Kempot, was born on December
31, 1966, in Surakarta, Indonesia. He was a singer and songwriter in the
campursari style who began his music career as a street busker between 1984 and
1986 before moving to Jakarta. His breakthrough came with the comedic song "We
Cen Yu", which gained popularity in Jakarta. In 1989, he released the single
"Cidro", though it did not immediately succeed in Indonesia. Didi Kempot's
