Desaparecidos
Desaparecidos was an American punk rock band from Omaha, Nebraska. Formed in
2001, the group featured Conor Oberst on vocals and guitar, along with several
touring musicians from Bright Eyes and other long-time friends of Oberst's. The
band released their debut EP The Happiest Place on Earth in October 2001. They
released their first album Read Music/Speak Spanish in February 2002 through
Saddle Creek Records. Despite initial controversy over the timing of its
release, the album gained a cult following and led to tours supporting acts like
Jimmy Eat World and Motion City Soundtra...
