Derri Daugherty, born Derald Daugherty on October 13, 1958 in the United States
of America, is a guitarist and singer. He began his musical career as an
engineer and roadie for the band Daniel Amos. Through this role, he met Steve
Hindalong, with whom he started writing songs and eventually formed the
alternative rock band The Choir. Daugherty's early work includes the EP A Few
Unfinished Songs released in 2004. He is also a founding member of the Roots
music supergroup Lost Dogs, alongside Terry Scott Taylor, Michael Roe, and Gene
