Derb was a German hard‑trance project founded in 2001 by Kai Winter and Boris
Hafner, both of whom had prior experience in the trance scene. The duo first
gained attention with the single "In Africa", which entered the German singles
chart at Number 78, and followed it with the single "Derb" the same year,
solidifying their reputation within the genre. In 2003 they released the single
"This Is Derb" and in 2004 the label Tracid Traxxx issued the album Derbattack,
