Der Familie Popolski
Der Familie Popolski was a German parodic cabaret show and cover band founded by
Achim Hagemann under the pseudonym Pawel Popolski. The group featured musical
performances that aired on WDR starting in March 2008, though the ensemble
existed and received award nominations prior to that. Their concept revolved
around a fictional Polish family claiming to be the original composers of
various pop and rock classics, which were allegedly stolen by a manager and sold
to international stars. Their debut album, The Pops – Dobrze, was released in
2007, followed by Der Popolski-Show: Live ...
