Defeated Sanity
Defeated Sanity, a German technical death metal band, was founded in 1993 by
guitarist Wolfgang Teske and his son, drummer Lille Gruber. The group originated
from Dachsbach, Bavaria, with their early work consisting of demos such as
Devoured by the Black (1996) and Withdrawn from Beauty (1998). Defeated Sanity's
first full-length album, Prelude to the Tragedy, was released in 2004 through
Grindethic Records. The band underwent several lineup changes over the years,
including the addition of vocalist A.J. Magana for their third studio album,
