Deep Puddle Dynamics was an American band formed in 1998, consisting of
underground hip-hop artists Sole, Doseone, Alias, and Slug. The group released
their debut album, The Taste of Rain... Why Kneel?, on Anticon Records in 1999.
Notable singles from this period include "Rain Men / I Am Hip-Hop" (1999). In
2002, Deep Puddle Dynamics released the EP We Ain't Fessin' (Double Quotes). The
group's discography also includes compilation appearances such as "Rainmen" on
Music for the Advancement of Hip Hop (1999) and "Mothers of Invention" on
Anticon Label Sampler: 1999-2004 (2004).
