David Torn
David Mitchell Torn, born 26 May 1953 in Amityville, New York, is an American
guitarist, composer, and producer who blended electronic and acoustic textures
through looping and effects. He began in 1970s with Zobo Funn Band, later
joining Everyman Band, Jan Garbarek’s quartet, and recording for ECM, Windham
Hill, and CMP. David Torn released Best Laid Plans (1985), Cloud About Mercury
(1987), Door X (1990), Gtr Oblq (1998), Only Sky (2015), and Three Movements
