David Honeyboy Edwards
David "Honeyboy" Edwards, born on June 28, 1915, in Shaw, Mississippi, was an
American delta blues guitarist and singer. He learned to play music from his
father and began traveling with Big Joe Williams at 14. In 1942, folklorist Alan
Lomax recorded Edwards for the Library of Congress. His first commercial
recording came in 1951 with "Who May Be Your Regular Be" under the name Mr.
Honey. Throughout the 1970s and beyond, Edwards released several albums
including I've Been Around (1978) and Old Friends Together for the First Time
