Darren Hayes (born on May 8, 1972 in Brisbane, Australia), is an Australian
singer and songwriter. After a tumultuous upbringing, Hayes was inspired by a
live performance by Michael Jackson which motivated him to pursue a career in
the entertainment industry. In 1993, he met Daniel Jones and the pair formed pop
duo Savage Garden, releasing thirteen singles including smash hits “I Want You”
