Dar Williams
Dorothy Snowden "Dar" Williams, born April 19, 1967, in Mount Kisco, New York,
is an American singer-songwriter known for her work in pop folk music. She began
playing the guitar at age nine and wrote her first song two years later. In
1990, Williams moved to Boston to pursue a career in theater but soon shifted
focus to music, recording her debut EP I Have No History (1990). Her
breakthrough came with The Honesty Room (1993), which was reissued in 1995 and
