Danny Flowers
Daniel W. “Danny” Flowers, born 1948 in Henderson, North Carolina, is an
American blues and country songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. At age 17,
Flowers received his first guitar and began writing songs. In 1968, Flowers
moved to Virginia Beach to perform on the blues and folk circuit before
relocating to Nashville in the early 1970s. He signed a publishing deal with
Acuff-Rose and toured as a session guitarist for Dobie Gray and Don Williams. In
1978, Flowers wrote “Tulsa Time”, which reached Number 1 on the Billboard
