Daniel Zamir, born in 1980 in Petah Tikva, Israel, is an Israeli saxophonist and
singer. He began playing the saxophone at age eleven and graduated from Thelma
Yellin High School of Arts in Israel before moving to New York City. In New
York, Daniel Zamir was discovered by John Zorn, who signed him to his label
Tzadik. With Zorn, Daniel Zamir recorded three albums with his band Satlah:
Satlah (2000), the live album Exodus (2001), and Children of Israel (2002).
