Daniel Martin Moore is an American folk singer-songwriter and producer born in
Elizabethtown, Kentucky. After leaving the Peace Corps, Moore mailed an
unsolicited demo to Sub Pop Records in January 2007. This led to the 2008
release of his debut studio album, Stray Age, which was co-produced by Joe
Chiccarelli. In 2010, he collaborated with Ben Sollee on the album Dear
Companion, which addressed mountaintop removal coal mining in Appalachia and
