Dana Dane
Dana McCleese, known professionally as Dana Dane, was born on September 6, 1965,
in Brooklyn, New York, and is an American rapper. McCleese grew up in the Walt
Whitman housing project in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, and gained recognition for his
humorous lyrics and fashion sense. His career in East Coast hip-hop includes
starting out as part of the Kangol Crew alongside Slick Rick. McCleese also
appeared in the music video for Slick Rick's 1988 single "Teenage Love". After
graduating from high school, McCleese signed with Profile Records in 1985.
