Charles Kwadwo Fosu, known professionally as Daddy Lumba, was born on September
29, 1964, in Nsuta, Ashanti Region of Ghana. He began his musical journey at 16,
leading the Juaben Senior High School choir and forming the band "Lumba
Brothers." His breakthrough came with the song "Lumba Lumba," which earned him
the nickname "Daddy Lumba."
In 1983, Fosu moved to Germany and formed the duo Lumba Brothers with Nana
Acheampong. Their debut album Yee Ye Aka Akwantuom, released in 1989, became a
