French singer-songwriter Cyril Mokaiesh was born in Paris on May 6, 1985. Leader
of the group Mokaiesh, which disbanded after releasing an eponymous album in
2008, Cyril Mokaiesh went solo again with the EP and album Du Rouge et des
Passions (2011), influenced by Léo Ferré and Noir Désir. The singer known for
his lyrics returned in 2014 with L'Amour Qui S'Invente, a less committed theme
than his previous album. In 2015, he paid tribute to the "broken destinies" of
chanson on the album Naufragés, recorded with Italian jazz pianist Giovanni
