Cygnus X, a German trance project formed in 1993 by Matthias Hoffmann and Ralf
Hildenbeutel, emerged from the electronic music scene in Germany and drew its
name from the X‑ray binary star Cygnus X‑1; the duo later departed, leaving the
project to continue under the same moniker. Their initial breakthrough came with
