Born on March 15, 1980, in Timișoara, Romania, Grammy Award-winner Cristian
Măcelaru is an acclaimed conductor and violinist. He is best-known as the
youngest concertmaster in the history of the Miami Symphony Orchestra, making
his Carnegie Hall debut with that orchestra at the age of 19. Born into a
musical family, he began studying violin when he was young, moving to the United
