Benjamin Gedeon, known professionally as Cosmó, was born on 18 June 2006 in Budapest, Hungary, and later grew up in Halbturn, Burgenland, Austria. He began formal music studies at the Neusiedl am See Central Music School at age four, taking piano lessons two years later and vocal lessons at thirteen, during which he started writing melodies and lyrics. Cosmó first released self‑produced tracks under his birth name, gaining local attention.
