Cornelio Reyna Cisneros, born on September 15, 1940 in Notillas Coahuila, was a
Mexican singer and songwriter. He began his musical career in Saltillo,
Coahuila, writing songs and playing the bajo sexto. In 1957, he formed the duet
Dueto Carta Blanca with Juan Peña, which later evolved into Los Relámpagos del
Norte with Ramón Ayala in 1963. Their first album produced their breakthrough
hit "Ya No Llores". Cornelio Reyna's distinctive vocal style and Ayala's
