Colin James Munn was born on 17 August 1964 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, and
emerged as a blues‑rock singer. After leaving school in Grade 10, he seized a
break in 1983 when Stevie Ray Vaughan’s scheduled opening act failed to appear;
Colin James Munn and his local band Flying Colours stepped in, and
Stevie Ray Vaughan later invited him to join the tour as a permanent opening
