Coki, whose real name is Dean Harris (born in Croydon on August 26, 1980), is a
British DJ, producer and MC, considered one of the pioneers of dubstep. Active
since the early 2000s, he first came to prominence as a member of the Digital
Mystikz duo, which he formed with Mala (Mark Lawrence) as part of the DMZ
collective alongside Loefah. It was around their DMZ parties, held in Brixton
from 2005, that dubstep acquired a clear identity and a passionate fan base.
