Cody Carpenter, born John Cody Carpenter on May 7, 1984, in Los Angeles,
California, is an American musician and composer. He began taking piano lessons
at a young age and started writing music at 13. Carpenter's first major musical
contributions were to Vampires (1998) and Ghosts of Mars (2001), where he played
keyboards. In 2005, he composed the soundtrack for "Cigarette Burns" and
"Pro-Life", episodes in John Carpenter's Masters of Horror. His collaborations
