Claudine Longet was born in Paris (29 January 1942) and trained as a dancer
before moving to the United States to perform in Las Vegas revues. She met
singer Andy Williams in 1960, married him the following year, and became a
familiar television personality through frequent appearances on The Andy
Williams Show. Her visibility there helped launch both her acting and recording
careers during the mid-1960s. After a televised performance of Antônio Carlos
Jobim’s “Meditation,” she was signed by Herb Alpert to A&M Records in 1966. Her
