Cisco Herzhaft, born in July 1947 in Le Bouscat, France, is a guitarist and
singer known for his slide guitar technique and fingerpicking style. Inspired by
American folk and blues music from an early age, Herzhaft began his musical
journey in the 1960s, performing in small venues across France. He released the
album Cisco's Cooking in 2007, followed by Ghost Cities (2009). Herzhaft's
career was marked by collaborations with notable figures such as Alan Stivell
and Glen Mor, and he performed alongside iconic blues artists like John Lee
Hooker and Big Joe Turner.
