Chyp-Notic
Chyp-Notic is a German electronic music group formed in 1988, initially known as
Toys. The band consisted of Vlad Mint (real name Vlad Myint-Swe, born February
15, 1969), Jan Erik (real name Jan Machalek, born May 18, 1958), and Walter Bee
(real name Walter Bussler, born April 9, 1967). Mint handled vocals and guitar,
while Erik played multiple instruments including guitar, bass, saxophone, and
drums. Bee was on keyboards. In 1990, they signed with Coconut Records and
released their debut single "Nothing Compares 2 U" — a cover of Prince’s song
