Chuck Flores
Chuck Flores was an American jazz drummer born in 1935 in Orange, California.
Born Charles Walter Flores, he was raised in Santa Ana and studied drums with
Shelly Manne. He was a prominent figure in the West Coast jazz scene and was
best known for his work with the Bud Shank Quartet in the 1950s. Between 1954
and 1955, Flores performed and recorded with the Woody Herman Band, appearing on
the recording The Woody Herman Band!. In 1956, he contributed to the album The
