Christian Kolonovits (born February 25, 1952) was an Austrian composer,
conductor, and music producer from Rechnitz. Kolonovits studied at the Wiener
Musikhochschule and performed as a studio musician before joining the group
Milestones in 1972. He composed the hit single “Hollywood” (1974) for Waterloo &
Robinson and collaborated with artists including Wolfgang Ambros, Rainhard
Fendrich, and Maria Bill. In 1976, he released the solo album Life Is Just a
Carnival. Kolonovits directed the orchestra for Austria’s Eurovision entries in
