Chris While
Christine Mills, known professionally as Chris While, was born in 1956 in
Barrow-in-Furness, Lancashire, and is an English musician and singer-songwriter.
She began playing guitar at age thirteen and performing at local folk clubs. Her
early career included touring with her then-husband Joe While before going solo
post-divorce in 1991.
Her solo album Still on Fire (1991) showcased her vocal abilities. In 1993, she
joined the Albion Band as lead singer and guitarist. She formed a musical
partnership with Julie Matthews, releasing several albums including "Piecework"
