Chris Norman
Chris Norman was born on October 25, 1950 in Redcar, North Yorkshire, England.
He is a British singer, songwriter and guitarist who is regarded as the defining
voice of the soft rock and glam rock era of the 1970s. Chris Norman began making
music with his school friends in 1965. In 1965, he founded the band Smokie in
Bradford, whose members alongside Chris Norman included Alan Silson, Terry
Uttley and Pete Spencer. With Smokie, he created a catchy soft rock sound and
