Christopher Lee LeDoux, born on October 2, 1948, in Biloxi, Mississippi, was an
American country music singer-songwriter who began competing in rodeos at age
13. His musical career started in the early 1970s with songs about his rodeo
lifestyle and released his first album Rodeo Songs 'old & New' in 1973. LeDoux
gained national prominence in 1989 when mentioned in Garth Brooks' hit "Much Too
Young (To Feel This Damn Old)". He signed with Capitol Records subsidiary
Liberty Records and released Western Underground in 1991, followed by Whatcha
