Chris Flory, born on November 13, 1953, in New York City, is an American jazz
guitarist. By his early teens, Flory was already playing guitar and heard his
first jazz album, Forest Flower by Charles Lloyd. He received inspiration from
live performances by Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, and Rahsaan Roland Kirk during the
late 1960s. Flory began his professional career playing in rock bands before
