Chris August
Chris August Megert, known professionally as Chris August, is an American
singer-songwriter born on March 20, 1982, in Garland, Texas. He began recording
music independently at age 15. In 2004, he released the self-produced studio
album A Beautiful Thing under the name Chris Megert and the Love Jones. August
relocated to Los Angeles in 2005 and collaborated with artists including Brian
McKnight and Jessica Simpson before returning to Texas. After signing with Word
