Choi Seung-hyun, born 4 November 1987 in Seoul, South Korea, entered the music
industry as an underground rapper under the stage name Tempo before signing with
YG Entertainment. He debuted with BigBang in 2006, contributing rap verses that
helped the group achieve commercial success. In 2010, he released the digital
single "Turn It Up" and collaborated with G‑Dragon on the subunit album GD &
