Chocolate, a Uruguayan band from Montevideo, released their debut album Cariñito
(1997). The band achieved significant success in South America and toured the
United States in 2001. In Argentina and Uruguay, they received two Gold and
three Platinum discs. Their Grandes Éxitos album (2001) featured the hit single
"Mayonesa", which reached number 42 on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart.
Chocolate disbanded in 2002 as members pursued individual projects.
