Chevelle Franklyn is a Jamaican reggae and gospel singer born in Jamaica in
1974. Chevelle Jasintha Franklyn began a professional career at age 14 and
achieved recognition with the hit song “Nice and Naughty” (1992). Their
recordings include the track “Mr. Lover Man” (1991) with Shabba Ranks and the
song “Dancehall Queen” (1997) with Beenie Man, which featured in the film
Dancehall Queen (1997). In 1998, Franklyn converted to Christianity and
