Geraldine Ahava, known professionally as Cherry, was born on 30 May 1993 in
Mexico City, Mexico, and pursued a career as a singer. She began performing at
age five, studying ballet at the Royal Academy of Dancing and vocal composition
with several teachers, while also learning piano, guitar, modeling, and acting.
Her early exposure included commercial work and stage roles such as Coppelia and
El Cascanueces, and she gained public attention in 2005 through a modeling
campaign that introduced her as a solo artist under the name Gery Ahava.
