Chế Linh (born Lưu Văn Liên on April 3, 1942) is a Vietnamese singer associated
with nhạc vàng ("golden music age"). He rose to prominence in the 1960s and
1970s, gaining recognition after winning a prize at a Biên Hòa music contest.
His recordings from this period include releases such as Chế Linh và tình bơ vơ
(Chế Linh and Lonely Love) and Chế Linh 4: Xin yêu tôi bằng tình người (Please
Love Me with Human Love). He was awarded Best Male Vocalist by Kim Khánh in
