Charles Wesley Godwin (born May 18, 1993, in Morgantown, West Virginia) is an
American country-folk singer-songwriter whose music is closely tied to
Appalachian storytelling, family history and life in West Virginia. He began
writing songs while studying at West Virginia University, then built his early
reputation through regional touring before releasing his debut album Seneca in
2019. The album introduced songs such as “Hardwood Floors” and “Seneca Creek”,
